Kapa Haka

                                                                           Kapa Haka

By Amelie

Every Tuesday, we go to the hall for Kapa Haka.

First, we quietly line up outside room 14.

Next, we go inside the hall. We sit on humongous mats and do some waiata.

After, we do our karakia then we exit.

I like Kapa Haka because I like learning new songs.

Every Tuesday, every kid from Totara team goes to Kapa Haka. Whaea Penny teaches us new songs.

First, we line up boys and girls. Then, we quietly sit down in the hall and say our karakia. Next, Whaea Penny plays her guitar. After we sing our karakia then we line up for our lunch.

Kapa Haka is really fun. I wish I could go there every day.

Every Tuesday, we learn new songs at Kapa Haka.

First, Ivy always tells us to silently line up.

Next, we sit on the mat. The boys are always noisy. We sing new songs.

After, we do our learning karakia and our lunch karakia.

Kapa Haka is the best! I wish I will be a helper of Whaea Penny.

Every Tuesday, Whaea Penny teaches us how to sing at Kapa Haka.

First, we line up on boys and girls line to go to Kapa Haka.

Next, we sit down at the black mat. We sing. When singing is finished we do the pukana.

After, we stand and line up to go back to class and have lunch.

I don’t really like going to Kapa Haka but it is still fine.

We go to the hall for Kapa Haka.

First, we line up together.

Next, Whaea Penny plays the guitar.

After, we sing waiata.

I like singing and it’s my favourite thing. It is boring, the actions.
