Room 6 made some art using leaves we picked up around the school.
First, we painted the background. Then, chose leaves to glue to our painted background. Finally, we put some details onto our leaves to look nice.
My name is Ivy and I am delighted to be the teacher of room 6. I have been a teacher in the Philippines for many years. My journey to become a teacher in New Zealand started through studying TESOL in 2016 and Master of Teaching and Learning in 2018.

Room 6 tamariki learned a song entitled "Pepeha". To celebrate New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) Week, we also learned the song in sign language. Our tamariki were so awesome that we won this 'challenge' for NZSL week. We won a set of NZSL cards for our class.
Room 6 went on a hikoi around the school and gathered different shapes and sizes of leaves around. Then we all made our own leaf art.
The Kakapo hub (Rooms 4,5,6 and 7) had its first Waiata Pipi in the hall this year. We all enjoyed learning and singing songs.
